Cooperation Partners
International Peace and Cooperation Center IPCC
IPCC has become Lassalle-Institut’s most important cooperation partner in the Jerusalem project. This cooperation is multi-levelled and, since February 2008, it is also defined by contract. The underlying assumption of all the cooperation projects is that, seeing the considerable differences on the socio-economic and education levels between Israeli West Jerusalem and Palestinian East Jerusalem, the security and health of the city can only be granted in the future if the Palestinian population with its current needs is supported specifically. For instance, in cooperation with IPCC, Lassalle-Institut currently runs a program for Palestinian students for the first time which is based on the Lassalle-Institut-Model®. It aims at promoting a new generation of young Palestinian leaders with high self-responsiveness, community-based ways of thinking, cosmopolitical views and at the same time with a natural cultural self-consciousness rooted in the Palestinian culture. This program is called “Future Leaders Forum Middle East, based in Jerusalem”. Due to the experience of Lassalle-Institut’s management in spiritual-political youth programs and in the promotion of a global way of thinking, the institute can make a specific contribution to this program.

Futura Institute
In his novel, Altneuland (Old New Land, 1902), Theodor Herzl, who was the father of modern political Zionism, pictured an advanced think tank gathered on the board of a modern steamer named Futuro to discuss some critical issues. Inspired by this vision, Futura Institute was founded by Professor Shlomo Hasson as a think tank to discuss issues concerning the future of the State of Israel from geopolitical, social, economic and cultural perspectives.
