Future Leaders Forum

The fourth Future Leaders Forum (FLF) was called "Think Big - Trust in Global Leadership" and took place from May 13th to May 16th, 2010. It was organized in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz, Germany. As in the years before, participants of different origins (Germany, China, France, Israel, India, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Russia, Switzerland and Austria) attended the event. In 2010 FLF focused on the following issues:

What kind of characteristic traits and experiences are essential to mature into leaders of the 21st century? Which phenomena and processes in the nature can help us to learn how to create a more responsible and solidary live together? What helps humanity to take up a stance to "Think Big" and to explore new ways?

What is significant about the FLF is that it is moderated by young leaders. They manage the "World Café", introduce the contributors, conduct roundtable meetings and the "Evening of Cultures".

As an established course of the Lassalle-Institut the FLF will also take place from June 2nd to 5th in 2010. Next year's event is entitled "Be a Part of the Global Community".

On the occasion of the "UN-International Year of Reconciliation", the Foundation for Subjective Experience and Research (S.E.R.) awarded twelve projects, which strive for the UN-Millenium Development Goals, especially for the reconciliation of peoples. The team of the Future Leaders Forum won one of three prizes in the category Educational/ Indigenous/ Athletic Projects, that was awarded by the UN-Main Representative Romulo V. Tajon.

The head of the Future Leaders Forum, Ralf Steigueber, proudly received the award on 7 August 2010 at the Culture and Congress Center in Bern. It is endowed with a prize money of 600 Euros. Over 157 teams worldwide submitted their project.
