Study trip to the United Nations in New York

It has been shown that everything individuals, organizations or communities decide and do influences the whole. Conversely, the whole affects the individual. The goal of the study trip to the United Nations Headquarters in New York is to become acquainted with the UN in its role as the organization of the world community and to expand participants’ global perspective. Thanks to the Lassalle-Institut’s status as an NGO in relationship to the ECOSOC, participants receive a temporary pass which entitles them to enter the UN Headquarters building and to attend various activities.

- Origin and development of the UN as a global organization
- Reform and reorganization of the UN
- Study of evolutive principles in the context of the self-organization of humanity
- The problems and opportunities of global governance
- Issues related to strengthening the UN
- Reflection on group processes and experiences at the UN with reference to the «Lassalle-Institut-Modell»®
