Dr. Anna Gamma

Director Psychologist, PhD, Katharina-Werk Member

Anna Gamma became Director of the Lassalle-Institut in autums 2003. She has worked as a seminar leader since the Institut's founding and has been a member of the operative leadership team since 2000. Her work focuses primarily on the development of the «SPIRIT & Leadership» training program based on Pia Gyger and  Niklaus Brantschen's «Lassalle-Institut-Modell».

From 1979 to 1985 she was Director of the Therapieheim Sonnenblick. Thereafter she worked as Assistant Director at the Katharina-Werk community in Basel. From 1991 to 2000 she taught at Sister Pia's Greenhouse School, a school for spiritual and political consciousness, in the slums of Ibayo on the outskirts of metropolitan Manila.
From 1996 to 1999 she was Director of the training center Fernblick in Teufen. In 2003 Niklaus Brantschen and Pia Gyger ordained Anna Gamma a Zen teacher (Sensei) in the Lassalle Zen lineage and gave her the Dharma name Myoan ("Light in the Darkness").
She is an experienced seminar leader, a much sought-after speaker and an author.
